I just tried it. It's a cool idea but it feels a bit clunky and slow at the moment, of course it's beta though. I'm not sure about the way it suggests and presents categories, it's a great feature but I think it might complicate things for some searches and for some people. Maybe the categories need to be made slightly less prominent, at the moment it feels like you have to choose one and if it feels forced it can mean more complication and work for the user to do. The nice thing about Google is the simplicity, you type, click search and browse the results. People expect it to give them the results they want from such simple interaction, even if it doesn't always deliver.

As it stands at the moment it's not an alternative for me but it's early days and it will be interesting to see where it goes. I'll probably give it a few weeks before I check it out again.
