When you post a reply or new post have a look down the page at "Additional Options". There are "Miscellaneous Options" and you can simply uncheck the option "Automatically retrieve titles from external links"
I've already asked the developers of
Vbseo about making it a configurable option in users' profiles. At the moment I can only turn it on or off globally, which doesn't really help you
