LOL I know exactly what you mean and I ran to Joomla, what a mistake that was though. Wordpress is awesome but it doesn't take long before you start to realise its somewhat limited.

I do plan to finish my comparison on my blog soon (I'm still evaluating a couple of CMS's) but I will say this:

- Wordpress (Blog and very Simple websites)
- Joomla - Ecommerce Selling Products online
- Drupal - Community Driven Websites
- Expression Engine - Publishing (online magazine style sites)

I've since nailed down and looked into Drupal more and discovered some really cool things, problem is it takes a while to absorb all the info and understand what it can / can't do. Also while the Drupal.org website is great, it lacks in some areas that would make learning drupal easier to newbies.

There are some efforts being made to make Drupal more user friendly, but these things take time and community effort. Drupal 4.7 was not very user friendly.

5.7
6.X versions are much better, but I believe 7.X is where most usability features are being worked on.

I am hoping to meet some more experienced Drupal users and rack their brains too .
