I looked into accessing a web app over a PDA for a support system, which included getting signatures which would be uploaded as images to the server. Did a good bit of research and testing into it last year but didn't implement it in the end. Other than that, I haven't had a need for it. Will keep you in mind if I do need something like that again (don't have time to learn these days!
