Using the term “real and honest advertisers” in the context above would imply that businesses that use the word “free” are not honest or real.

If you walk down the isle of any supermarket you will see offers like “buy one and get one free” why shouldn’t any online site or business be any different. The concept of “free” in marketing terms is very powerful.

Also Google use the same tactic, and have free offers with their own products, Google earth for instance.

If an advertiser is not getting an increased ROI for an increased CTR, then there is something wrong with his adword campaign, not the programme itself.
