Which geographical area are you targetting?
Well I haven't had too much luck with Ebay. I have however had some luck with Amazon.
Since my target market are car enthusiasts I set up an online store selling car parts and books. So far I've made a little bit of cash, not much. However if it keeps up it will be better than Google Ads or Ebay so far.
Ebay has great potential if I could just get my links to be tracked properly. The ebay documentation on it is useless and I've not recorded a single click in my reports.
its all a bit strange.
Which geographical area are you targetting?
Currently targeting AU, however if things go well I'll probably target the US also. As this is the largest market for the particular vehicle my car club is based on.
If it all works well I might spread out onto other makes and models.
Hmmm.. .That's the problem with a lot of sites I see and am involved with. We're all targetting a tiny market![]()
I don't see this as a bad thing myself. If we were all targeting Ipod's we would have no chance of cutting a profit. There's just too much competition.
I happen to be targeting the market I am, mainly due to the fact that my largest traffic site is a car club I started with a couple of friends 3 odd years ago.
I do plan on launching another website in the not too distant future that will have a broader target group, but again it won't be total world domination im after.
The problem with targeting the biggest english speaking market in the US is the exchange rate is not in our favour![]()
Just a heads up, if you are targeting Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, India or Netherlands be aware that ebay does NOT offer a winning bid revenue share for these countries.
Also, if you check your eBay program terms, yesterday, they quietly reduced some demographic ACRU commissions by a half.
Pretty piss poor in my opinion.
