Cool Ebay Affiliates Program, Any Experience?

    Hi Guys,
I have a website which receives a decent amount of traffic monthly globally, but primarily in Australia. I also have close to 900 active members, who I know buy regularly from Ebay.

I am considering replacing some Google Text Ads to show Ebay listings targeted towards car parts these members would be interested in. Or alternatively having a page on the site dedicated to Ebay listings.

I think it would world quite well, but I'm wondering what others experiences with the Ebay Affiliate Program is? Have you had much luck with it?

If things work out I'd probably scrap Google Ads from my site, as they are rarely relevant enough.

So far I've made a whopping $200 US off Adwords in about a year.

Only been using it since the EPN launch on the 1st. Only really starting to see results now. Nice results. I guess the only way is to test it out.

    (I'm using PHPbay pro).

There are HUGE reporting delays with EPN right now though. ACRUs not appearing for over a week. Check the EPN forum and be careful encoding your links.

So far the site I am using it on is getting an average EPC of €7 (Or €0.70 everywhere else). Not bad.

    Default Hope its right

    Hi mate,
Not sure if you can help, Ebay's instructions are pretty useless.

    Anyway on my home page:
    Datsun 240z 260z, 260z 2+2 and 280zx Club Australia

I have some car parts listed which is fine.

I also tried to set up an RSS feed following these instructions.
    1. Go to the advanced search page on eBay.
    2. Enter the search criteria for your RSS feed.
    3. Under the Affiliate Tracking Information section, please select eBay Partner Network, enter your Campaign ID, and click Search.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the search results page displayed and click on the orange RSS logo.
    5. Select the URL of the XML page from your browser and use your RSS reader to subscribe to the feed.

I've done that and got an RSS feed url. I put that Url into my RSS reader.

    Zcar Parts

Its displaying a list of parts, but i cannot see anything in the url's of the items listed that would indicate they are being tracked?

Is there anyway I can verify they are working? Or double check I've done it right?

The new RSS feeds I thought were still broken. Seems maybe not any longer.

Unhappy I can get the RSS feed.

I can get the feed ok, and in the advanced search results page I included a campaign ID number where it said to.

The problem is, I have no idea of knowing if what I did was right, or if its correctly been tracked?

I would assume so, but looking at the url's.

    http:// cgi.ebay.com.au /Datsun-240Z-interior-rear-vision-mirror_W0QQitemZ290221584053QQcmdZViewItemQQssPage NameZRSS:B:SRCH:AU:101

I cannot see anything in relation to a campaignID. However it could be that this specific feed url is what's been tracked. I'm not sure.

If there is nothing worse about affiliate marketing, its providing free traffic and getting nothing in return. .

I can't help but feel Ebay are making it more difficult than it needs to be, perhaps for this purpose. It seems like backwards thinking, but I can't help but feel that way.
