Ideal Affiliate Programme
Hi Guys
I'm building an affiliate network and have a list of things I want to be able to give /do for affiliates in order to maximise returns.
Assuming no restrictions, what would your ideal affiliate programme do / provide for you?
What do other programmes you work with do that you like and don't like?

In terms of data feeds, what would be your ideal format? XML, RSS, iFrame ?
Datafeeds - xml and other formats I guess.
A lot would depend on what the products were tbh
No hassles, would you expect the programme to provide the xml feed with your tracking ID embedded in it or would you be comfortable doing that yourself?
As I can imagine a lot of affiliates who don't have programming experience hitting a brick wall when handed an xml feed
Any datafeeds would need two things (apart from decent content!):
- affiliate id embedded
- ftp access (or similar) for automatic updates - having to manually download datafeeds renders them useless
Easy, I've also got a few ideas of what we can offer non-techie affiliates.
If you're looking for inspiration I'd recommend looking at some of the stuff that the likes of Amazon have done.
Yep, amazon do a good job have a good range of tools, I have been looking at all the major players and taking the best ideas from each.
Just thought feedback from affiliate would also be good.
