Anybody else getting more than the usual in the past week or so? I have had to moderate about 40 spam comments in the last few days which escaped the various anti-spam plugins I have installed on Wordpress.

Generally I only need to manually moderate about 5 comments a week.

Anybody in the same boat as me?

same here. In the last week got a lot more than 40. had to create new spam rules.

I've 1 blog that was getting hammered. I've been testing WP-Spamfree and so far have seen a massive reduction with no spam hitting the blog at all.

I haven't had any issues recently. The levels of comment spam seem to be normal

What I have noticed, however, is a HUGE increase in the number of forum spammers trying to register on here. Most of them are coming in from blacklisted IPs, so they never get past registration, but it's still annoying to have to delete all the PMs
