Thread: Which topics would you avoid blogging about?

For me, I avoid the subjects that I have extreme view on. But maybe that's the wrong outlook to take, as nothing drums up readers like a bit of controversy!

Oh no. There's a pretty big difference between being passionate and being extreme... I'm passionate about technology but extreme about say... law and order in Ireland. Quite draconian in fact but I don't want to taint one with the other.

I avoid blogging about Politics and Religion also. You'll get too many hostile comments on your blog.

Definitely Religion, Adult content, anything illegal or anything spammy

I avoid these topics: the political situation in my country, inter-ethnic conflicts, religion.

politics and religion are best avoided if you want to prevent a quick deterioration of the blog
