    Default Simple WYSIWYG CMS needed

    Hi All,

    I have been using an old interspire product called web edit as a cms for my websites.

    I create my sites in dreamweaver with editable regions (from a template file).
    Then I upload the editor folder to a cmseditor folder on my clients site eg: www.myclientssite.ie/cmseditor which prompts them for a login (alreqady predefined in a config file).

    From here users can login & edit the pages on the site (within the editable regions, add images links etc).

    No templates or customisation needed, as users simple edit exisiting pages.

    It is an old discontinued editor & seems to be doing more harm than good to sites like removing the title of a site which aint good at all from SEO.

    If anyone knows of a similar uptodate type system it would be greatly appreciated.

    many thanks in advance!

    Unreal, Konductor is exactly what you are looking for - it integrates into Dreamweaver and uses DWT for region definition. But with Konductor clients can even create pages and edit menus if you allow them. Check it out konductor.net and I think they are on the Dreamweaver exchange now as well.

    Cheers,
    Hammer.

    it doesn't integrate with Dreamweaver as such, but I like EditWrxPro at EditWrxPro :: Home Lots and lots of options available for end user.

    @Hammer
    It looks like a great solution, although you have to register & download software. (for dm cs4). I just want a simply web based editor that recognizes dreamweavers locked & editable regions so users only have access to the editable regions.

    Also, I dont want users to have to login to an external 3rd party website, I would rather just upload a folder to the client site and edit a config type file to give a user(s) access to edit pages with CHMOD permissions, also the option to enable users to create new pages.

    Thank you for your lead though

    @achieve
    Looking at the system now, its seems ok, maybe a bit over complex for non tech users...not bad though!

    @Tomed
    I am aware of cushy, and its what i am looking for except I dont want users/clients to have to login to an external 3rd party website.
    Again, I would prefer to upload a 'editor' folder to the clients site that I can brand so they are unaware of it being a 3rd party tool.

    If anyone can suggest anything else, please let me know.
    Much appreciated guys
