| I was just wondering has anyone here used elgg? I was looking into it and it seems quite interesting, but I can't quite wrap my head around what context it would be used in. Maybe someone here has an example of a site they've used it to build? And if so, how did you find it in comparison to the likes of joomla/mambo/osc? |

| Its a social networking base to build on ... so not exactly a joomla / mambo install ... They both have completely different purposes elgg would be used to build bebo / myspace / orkut ... style sites ... joomla to build your business site ? Or am I missing your question ?

| i tested it out for a while. Its a non-hardcore social networking system which is the bones of bebo, just without the flashy flesh. It's very clean code. It has been > 1 year since i tried it, but it's worth downloading just to take a browse around it. |
