Default Photo Site

Right where to start...

Ive had an idea for a little project of mine for quiet a while now and im gonna try and get it off the ground fairly soon.

Basically its an online photo site where people can register which will enable them to upload there photos to a temp database and once they are approved will go live on the site. Viewers can then use the photo search engine to find the photos they want to view.

The idea is similar to Airliners.net Aviation Photo Search Engine but not involving aircraft photos.

Does anyone know of an " off the shelf " package like what airliners.net use or is it a matter of getting one written up myself ?

Have you tried on SourceForge.net: Welcome to SourceForge.net or Hotscripts.com :: The net's largest PHP, CGI, Perl, JavaScript and ASP script collection and resource web portal ?

I usually start looking on there to see what's available

No coppermine isnt what im after either, im beginning to think i might have to attempt to write a script myself.

I found an Irish site that has a similar setup to airliners.net but not as "busy" , something in between the two sites is what im after IrishAirPics.com : Picture Gallery

SlideShowPro could be modified to suit your needs. I like the management interface and use it on one or two sites!
