Default desktop application for live database
What's the best way to go in creating a desktop application to interact with a live database for updating / inserting records?

I also need to use the image resize/uploading functions.

I have the entire section working perfect on the web for the last year, but i have a sparkling idea that I would like to make use of.

I am playing to Microsoft Visual 2005 at the moment to see what it can do.
The last time I worked with VB was few good years back.

If you have VB.NET then yes, use that, it will take a few hours to create the windows app.
