| In a quandry in work, fighting someone over the use of iframes - so I need some decent reasons why not to use them It relates to a system that requires login, using ajax, etc - so why should iframes not be used

| I guess cus we don't like them isn't an appropriate response ... Can you use the .. "because I'm the boss" answer ? Hmmm all I can find online is because it isn't supported by the strict doctype ... Hmm .. clutching at straws ... are there any issues with SEO ? (which wouldn't come into play in a system requiring login) |

| nah and to be honest it aint a problem since its technically a "web based application", so seo doesnt come into it |

| I think a control panel type of environment would be one of the places frames might useful. It can be handy scrolling down a page of settings and still have a menu within easy reach. |
