Default PHP session problem

The whole site works off one session variable, when a user logs in that
variable is assigned with the users user id, when they logout the session
variable is cleared. Its seems that since I moved the site to new hosting
that the session variable clears itself within 30 seconds to a minute!?
Only seems to clear itself when a user posts something and comes back from a page with a
PHP Code:
header("Location: /page.php");
, doesn't happen on any other page that uses the session variable!
I've tried the site on other hosting and i dont have this problem, seems to be only my current hosting!
Any ideas?

I can't see why, i've checked and there is no restriction on the session time limit on either hosting.
PHP 5.2.2 is on the hosting im having the problem with.
PHP 5.2.1 is on the hosting thats working fine.

Have you contacted the hosting provider about the issue?

can you run phpinfo() on both systems and do a compare and see what the differences are.
