Default osCommerce and BoI integration?

Hi, I've just been asked by a client if I'm able to customise a copy of osCommerce to include his identity/redesign etc., and also integrate it with Bank of Ireland payment processing.

Now, the customisation I reckon I can do. I've never used osCommerce before but I have customised phpBB, Wordpress etc so I think this area should be fine. However, I've never done anything to do with payment processing etc. Is this something that is fairly easily included in osCommerce or I would I be better to contract this part out to a more qualified developer?

Is there even a BoI payment processing system in place that is able to be incorporated into osCommerce? I would have thought you would use something like PayPal or Realex etc. Maybe he just mentioned BoI because that's where he has a bank account?

Cheers!

Excellent, thanks for that. I'll get more info from him and see where to go from there.

Would you think this can be done by someone with little/no experience of this sort of thing. I mean, I can pick up things very easily and I have experience of working with phpBB and Wordpress etc so in theory could it be done without external help in your opinion?

Realex have an OSCommerce plugin, so it should be relatively easy. They also provide plenty of documentation and are willing to help

Mmm, perhaps Realex is the way to go. I'll give it a shot. Thanks
