Decided to stick with it and in fact I'd just made a couple of stupid mistakes... voila . A couple more tweaks and that's it, IE6 and all.

Yes, there still appears to be a problem validating the dropdown, still haven't managed to work that out, but I'm working on it. I did however centre the menu, which was a bit wonky. Hope it's OK now.
