Thread: Looking for a system to send automated text messages from a site ASP

Hello,
i have a client looking for an email alert, i have done that several times so it is not a problem, he however wants something similar but with a text message.
In other words he would match registered users from his database and would send them a text alert. Not sure if there is something that can do that out there, most than likely a third party but that would be fine.

I used clickatell before, was php friendly (think it only used form post as inputs, found it cheap enough??

I've used zinek and clickatel previously. Zinek have a HTTP API which you should be able to easily integrate with ASP. As blacknight said there are lots of providers out there you really need to decide what you are looking for ultra cheap or reliability or some middle ground.

If you want a really quick and dirty solutions: most mobile operators in Irlenad offer an e-mail address for mobile account holders which will send an SMS alert when a new e-mail arrives.
