Office 2008 for the Mac will be available in the next couple of weeks. Pre-orders are now available on the Apple site

I've been toying with the idea of buying this for a long time but never did anything about it. Mostly because of cost. I've been using Open Office for the last year and it does everything I need (although I can't stand the way Calc redraws the screen every time you do anything).

Mind you, the only reason I would buy Office is for Excel, it's the only Office App I could ever see myself ever using.

I see there is a 'Student & Home' edition for €139. I wonder could I buy this version instead the overpriced regular version (which I believe is exactly the same)/
