I like Vista for the built in speech software. Not as good as Dragon Naturally Speak, but really great for article writing.

I have had Windows Vista for several months and have to say I still hate it with passion. XP was far more stable and easier to use.
Luckily work has given me a MACBOOK pro with Leopard. So much more impressed with a MAC, once you go mac you don't go back.
Will be selling my Toshiba with Vista to buy a normal Macbook for home usage.
I don't understand the hatred people have for Vista. Its fine. I use it all the time. I use my mac for browsing, vista for gaming and coding and XP for work. They all just do the job. Along with that I don't get all of this inexplicable love for XP. Its an 8 year old OS! That's why its so stable(and even then, it really isn't all THAT stable) Because nothing new is happening with it.
Also I like my Mac, but I wouldn't ever give up my Windows machines.
Lol more to the point "What's right with Vista" hehehe, although I shouldn't bag it out, i've only had about 30 minutes total using the monkey
I stuck with xp all this time, no need to upgrade to an os that uses more resources and finds it difficult to operate some programs just for the benefit of some fancy graphics lol, I'll wait till Windows 7 is in it's final version with a service pack or 2 before I put xp to bed![]()

Here here Link8r,
I totally agree with the "Iorish" attitude towards IT. I changed to linux on my laptop because XP was sh**e on it. Mind you I do loove it on my netbook and Vista on my home PC works fine.
I personally just charge people OTT when they need a security update if they squeeze me to red on normal site costs. It hurts far more.

I still fail to see what these added features are in Vista and 7 by comparison to XP. In both cases of vista and 7 i always spend a day or two turning things off and reverting changes to behave like xp.
Beware in windows 7, if you LOOSE internet/network connectivity and have your firewall turned "OFF", please re-consider turning it back on.......... WTF?
