Default Looking up the whois history of a .ie domain?

Anyone know if I can check out the history of a .ie domain? I want to see when changes were made so I can check when or if the owner has changed over time.

Cheers.

Did you get sorted with this? Read your post about the deleted domains, quite interesting!

There's no easy way to check the whois history on ccTLD domains, as they aren't tracked by the big boys

JMCC would have the best data (apart from the IEDR themselves)

Yep I more or less got the info needed from none other than JMCC

IEDR wasn't very clear with me TBH - from their reply the domain is currently locked while they await renewal. Is this right Michele?

The "locked" status is rather confusing.

The IEDR made some changes regarding domain status last year in order to avoid issues with registrants jumping around too much and domains getting paid for by the wrong people (or not at all)

Once a domain is registered it will be locked until the reseller (registrar) has paid for it. The domain cannot be moved to another IE reseller until the initial payment has been made.

There's more info on the IEDR site...

I've been planning to add the domain history stuff (new/del) to the site for some time now. I haven't got around to it yet. But there is newdel data on .ie domains (and com/net/org/biz/info) going back to 2001 and integrating the CNOIB stuff will be tricky.

Regards...jmcc
