Default selling a .ie domain

Hi,

I was emailed yesterday about one of the .ie domains I have. I intended doing a project with it but never got round to doing it. I was offered €100 for the domain and I'm thinking of selling cause I was considering just letting it go next renewal. Can you transfer .ie domains, e.g. sell them like you would a .com? Do you think €100 is a good price?

Thanks, Dave

No, you can't sell them like a .com address. In the IEDR regulations somewhere it says if you sell your address you will lose it (i.e. they will take it back from you.)

The solution is to sell your business which includes the website address.

It is possible to transfer a .ie to another person or business, but the new owner has to qualify to register the domain.
