| Hi, I'm a sole trader registered for tax in Ireland. I have a number of ideas for web sites which will all need .ie names eventually. I just read the .ie domain register rules and I'm a bit confused. If I'm just registered for income tax, can I register a .ie domain? Can I register multiple .ie domains under one sole trader account? I'd like to call my sites very different names, is that allowed? Thanks, Bearaman |

| I have loads of different domain names registered under my sole trader name. Very easy to do. I just supply a letter on headed paper stating why I want the name and I always get it. The letters are all the same as well so I'd say the IEDR get it and say, "here we go again.... blah blah blah... give it to him". |

| lol david. I don't think they will give it to you if there is no relation between you business and the name.

| If you want to trade as anything other than your name you will need a registered business name. You can get one from the CRO (Companies Registration Office) Once you have the RBN you can then apply for a .ie domain, however if the domain name you want is not similar to the RBN you will need to provide documentation / proof of your connection to it
