Default Buying a domain for someone

Just spotted a great domain that I know a client would love to have. Is there any way to register a domain on behalf of someone else or do any domain companies offer 'gift' domains?

You can register the name on their behalf, but you will need to register the name under their name and, they would need to then send in the correct supporting documentation

I'd like to register it for them and have the domain details on some kind of gift certificate. Looks like i'll have to make one myself

If it was a .co.uk they'd get a nice PDF cert of ownership

(You can get that from a number of ccTLDs)

Best thing to do is just register the domain using their details, and make up a little gift cert
