Hi,

This is probably one for Michele but I didn't want to annoy you again today!

I've been in contact with someone that currently owns a domain and is looking to sell it. They just had a for sale sign on the home page. It doesn't seem to be listed on any auction sites.

I've agreed a price with him to buy it but what is the best way to pay and transfer without either side being stung?

I know there are third party brokers ... at least if memory serves correctly there are ... that was from a few years back ... I've never used one ... so yes ... its sounding like a "for Michele" issue

He had a for sale sign on the site with an email address. The whois information was correct as I also rang him and we chatted over MSN and stuff. The whole thing went very smoothly I must say!

Try emailing all the generic emails addresses for the domain such info@ webmaster@ contact@ etc. A few people have managed to contact me by doing that.

We did for blacknight.com - it took a while, but we finally got it
