I am sure BK will beable to answer this for me.

I want a .ie (for the first time) the site will be a blog for a company to target google.ie - they will not be selling anything from it, but refering to their main site which is hosted in the UK.

can I just buy any .ie name?

Is the UK company trading with Ireland? If so, it may be entitled to obtain a .ie domain.
