Recently had a brain wave for a domain name, which i have now registered.

its suitable for an adult site and no good to me....

how would i go about generating revenue from this? its it normal to rent a domain?

Probably not unless its a high demand prime domain.

You could setup the domain with a parking company and hope that traffic hits it and give you some earnings. Slim chance that you'll make anything decent from it unless it was an old domain and already has a traffic stream.

I've never actually considered something like that before. Just had a quick look at Leasethis.com and it seems very interesting. I might throw up a couple of domains myself.

Usually a highly searched keyword domain name. Take a look at these results for premium domains for an idea what I mean.

If its adult related something like porn.com would be considered a prime domain.

Dig around for other leasing companies, I just found that as it was sitting at #1 on Google for domain leasing.

The sedo landing page says a lot about the domain.
