| Hi, I would like to know if a company can still register an .ie domain which matches its services and products or does it now have to register an RBN in every case/ provide letters of justification. Lets say for example, Garden products Ltd want to apply for their own name, perhaps garden.ie or gardenproducts.ie, but can they also apply for flowers.ie, lawns.ie, lawnmowers.ie, horticulture.ie, etc without hassle. Also, if you have these names already but cease offering these products or services, can they be taken off you and would a newly registered flowers® or Lawns® competitor have more right to have them if you were using them? Thanks |

| Once oyu have a domain, it can't be taken off you (unless you are in breach of the IEDR's rules and terms). First come first served. As for discretionary, sure it doesn't cost anything to 'try' a domain * Register365 - Ireland's Domain Registry - full refund if your application is not successful |
