Default New TLD
Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows what is required to propose a new TLD?

I had a bit of a dig through ICANN but it does not seem to feature very prominently. I saw something on there about a $45K application fee, but that related to 2004, maybe it's way higher now..

Anyway, I expect the process is loaded in red tape, so I just wanted to check and see if anyone here has investigated it before and has a summary of what is involved.

It's under discussion at present AFAIK.

Keep an eye on the main ICANN site, but there's no fixed fee at the moment AFAIK
