google does ... and damn its handy the amount of times I type in googel is crazy

For the most part though It would depend on the site in question. if its a business site .. not much point ... if its a community or something with a large user base then I'd say it could be worth your while

It depends on how "easy" the domain is.

We've had to register a couple of typos of our main domain, as people were unsure of the spelling

Relating to a thread here on network solutions, I put in networksoulutions.com and it resolved to to their site. What would you be doing though if you put in flicker for flickr

well they have registered it WHOIS domain registration information results for networksoulutions.com from Network Solutions
