Default Irish Times discovers domaining?

Seems that Karlin Lillington has discovered domaining and the domains business and she has an article about it in today's Irish Times. It is a development of a blog post on techno-culture.

Premium content link:
ireland.com - The Irish Times - Fri, Apr 11, 2008 - Dotgone frustration for domain name seekers

Ironically they didn't cover the Digiweb/Novara takeover thing at all.

Since I'm not going to pay for the content, what did the article say?

Pizza.com sold for a lot. Karlin had internet access in the 1990s and failed to reg any doms. Apparently it is a great way to make money if you regged domains back then. A domain aftermarket exists. Pizza.com was a big win. Companies looking for domains find them all gone etc. Much the same as the post on her blog but with pizza.com stuff and some figures.

Yeah - in pizza. The mistake that many people make with domaining is thinking that it is an easy way to make money. The article doesn't make the distinction between the regfee dross and the generic gold. I doubt if anyone really takes what appears in the Irish Times technology section seriously though.
