I've been reading over the info on buying a .ie domain on domainregistery and a few other sites and I'm still stumped!

Can i buy .ie version of an affiliate site just like that? Or do I need to register myself as a company to get the .ie domain because that's the impression I'm getting from the info I'm reading...

Any advice on this would be appreciated!

To get a .ie domain you would normally need a registered business name of some kind. It's the easiest way.

Hmm...that sounds complicated and expensive already Going to need a big knife to cut through all that red tape.

Is there a company that does this? If you could point me in the right direction with a website, I'd appreciate it.

Doesn't that mean I'd have to set myself up for tax etc and I'd be self employed? Seems like a lot of trouble for an affiliate site.

If you're going to run a successful affiliate site, then you're going to make a lot more than the 20 euro CRO fee

There are plenty of companies offering IE domains from as low as 21 euro / year

So all it takes is 20 euro to register yourself? I think I'm fairly naive here. I thought all you needed to do is buy a domain name, find a hosting company, then build a website and affiliate bob's your uncle. You mean there's more?

I've been reading a bit about all of this over the last few days and there's no where where it explains everything in a clear way. If you know about this, could you let me in on the secret? I'd be eternally grateful!

If you are not already in web marketing as a business then setting up an affiliate site is essentially setting up a business, the business being pre-selling someones elses products.

You still are liable for tax on all income earned from an affiliate site etc.
