| HI Folks A client has a simple on-page website - and we have a .com domain name for it. He's been speaking to people (!) and has decided that he'd also like to register another domain name and point it to the same website. So - I've done that.... I thought I read somewhere that having 2 domain names pointed to the same site is a Bad Thing from the search engines' point of view. Is this true - and, if so, how does everybody else get round it ? Thanks in advance Adrian |

| 301 permanent redirect the domain and you should be fine.

| We've got about 30 domains pointing to our main site and it doesn't make any difference They're all using a 301 redirect |

| Wow 30 is a lot. Do you mind me asking why? Is getting more domains pointing at your site a good tactic if you're trying to get links with anchor text in them. So I mean buying another domain which is similar and keyword rich in order to 301? |
