And people still wonder why I hold some "technology journalists" in such low regard. Adam's coverage of the report is good. Good job that RTE hasn't rediscovered domain names. (I remember one of its early efforts around the time of a politician's name being squatted in .com.)

I think they gave some airtime to the narnia.mobi "story", but didn't understand the issues at all from what I can recall

I'm not surprised, Michele. The people who registered narnia.mobi really spun the story in a way that made it media friendly to the clueless. I suppose that unless a story has some predigested soundbite or easy emotional angle, RTE wouldn't cover it. Somehow I could envisage RTE getting some Irish technology journalist to comment on a similar piece.

Yeah - they really played up the child angle and made it the entire thing sound like a big bad corporation vs $random small punter
