 My good name is all I have(n't) Hi, I've been waiting to get the .com domain of my name for a while now. It was registered back in November 1999 I think but there hasn't been a site on it for about 2 or 3 years. There used to be, but now you just get a 404. The expiration date was November 2006 and I've been keeping an eye on it for a while but I've just noticed that it's been re-registered until November 2011. My question is this, since there is still no site live at the domain, is it likely that the registrar has just re-registered it themselves, or is this something that they generally wouldn't do?         |

 They're probably looking for a seller. Be prepared to over spend on the domain if it's registered untill 2011. |

| .org is quite decent alright, nothing special though you could always go for a dash first-name.com |

| Hmmm, good idea, never thought of that  Not mad about the dash though  (just thinking of the logo!!)I might check with the registrar to see how much they want for the original domain? |

| you could go web2.0 on your domain and register tname.com so you can then setup a subdomain which will read firs.tname.com same setup as del.icio.us it all depends on your name of course  |

| It depends what you want to do with it... I've got mneylon.com and have had it for years - I think I first got it because I was doing a project in college and wanted to give it a permanent home.. I've also got micheleneylon.ie, but I don't use it and will probably let it expire

| I suppose the chances of someone registering your .ie domain are slim if you let it expire. Unless there is another Irish Michele Neylon. |
