| Just set up a new company. Its called XXX Solutions What would the best website address for it be do ye think www.xxxsolutions.ie OR [www.xxx.ie] |
| |||||
| As far as my understanding xxx = related to sex and if your website is not about that than I think is the wrong choice. a2zsolution will be a better option.

| Next time be more explicit because the wrong idea comes into some people heads. Then xxx.ie should be best. Keep it short I always say, but my girlfriend thinks differently. Last edited by louie; 01-12-2006 at 04:57 PM. |

| Thanks for your input louie. Sorry again about the confusion! I would generally agree with you but my problem is that xxx part is similar to a product name (trademarked) available internationally and dont want to create confusion. Hence the inclusion of solutions in the company title. Is this a strong enough reason to choose xxxsolutions.ie? I normally agree that shortest is best. (when discussing domain names!) |

| When it comes to trademark you have to be very careful what you are going to pick. They bloody come after you no matter what. |
| ||||
| I have the company registered with the CRO and they're was no problem with that. So thinking that if i go xxxsolutions.ie then they're shouldnt be a problem. What you think? It was after i sent of the forms to the cro that I found the name (xxx) was registered. |
| |||||
| I don't think CRO gives a monkey about the name. They just want the money. I am in a similar situation here so I ma working on an alternative solution before it gets any hotter. |
| |||||
| I thought the same thing, but obviously is not. A trademark is a trademark and there is a lot they can do about it if you fall in the same category that it was originally trademarked for. By "hotter" i meant the domain is running as we speak, but i have some redirections in place so when the time comes i check few boxes and the domain will just vanish (302 redirect). |
