If I was to be cynical about it, I'd say that the US market for gullible domainers willing to pay to hear how people struck it rich in a boom market is fished out and now some of the big US players are trying to get into the ccTLD business. It is too expensive and a lot of ccTLD domaining tends to be highly localised.

There have been a few EU run domainer events over the last couple of years and most of them have either been very economically priced or free.

Nope. Grabbin a couple day passes.

The legal session should be interesting - Paul Keating is the guy who acted for the Ovidio/.eu operation. That direct nav op has dropped at least half of its 75K .eu domains over the last few years.
