It's called Private WHOIS, it can be fraught with danger, places like GoDaddy / NameCheap offer it, I don't know any Irish operators who do right now.
Any particular reason why you would need to hide your info ?
Hi just wondering is there a way to keep personal details like name and address private when registering a domain name. I.e have it not show up on Whois etc?

my sites :
If you register a .eu only the nameservers will appear on port 43 whois and the email address on the web based whois (assuming you're a private individual - if you're a business full details get published)
Thanks for the replies. Mainly just curious if it was possible to protect that information for websites that may have a requirement for privacy; human rights organizations, women's shelters, asylum seekers etc.
Thanks
Is the location of your business / organisation a secret ?
Amnesty International don't put a private WHOIS Amnesty.org - Amnesty International | Working to Protect Human Rights
But places like aoibhneas don't put their address on their site Aoibhneas, Dublin - A refuge from domestic violence for women and children
