Well someone got Waterford.asia but some other Irish city names were also taken. I think that a lot more of the landrush doms will filter into the zonefile over the next few days. Tomorrow's zone should be interesting. (Just run the active count on the zone: 110204 on 20080329)

So for the rest of us mere mortals - how might we go about checking the zone for ourselves?

You can't and there'd be little point in trying

    /me whistles innocently

I'd suspect that it will take quite a bit of time for the entire landrush to be processed.

I got notifications on about a half dozen names over the weekend, but I applied for about 50 I think ...

I think it is restricted to NetGods and other entities. I haven't run a core check on the zone yet (comparing it to the core list of premium/generic domains). But it was easy to spot some speculative registrations (Some are using .com rules for a new tld - always a bit clueless). The top premium generics will be highly contested and will end up on auction.

It looks like the entire auction process via pool.com could drag out for another couple of months. I'm only getting scheduled notifications for a fraction of the domain names that I requested
