.ie domain registration

Typical story.
Guy meets girl. Guy likes girl. Guy wants to register a .ie domain name.
Guy goes to the CRO and applies for a business name....

Well at this stage its been a week since a sent in my application. I got my email back that my payment was received and now I'm just waiting for my name to get granted.

Currently I'm developing the site that will soon be on the new domain off my old domain. And as a result I can't do certain things I want to do and I'm getting impatient.

So I've done some searching and come up with no real concrete answers for myself and I was wondering if yous could help me.
1. How long does it typically take the CRO to register my business name? (I applied online via CORE.ie if that makes any difference)
2. Can i register my .ie domain with just my application as I've been let by some search results to believe? From what they said you can give them some id of your application and the registrar will get it. But if you dont show proof that you acutally own the business name within 8 weeks you get cut off....

Any help would be much appreciated

3 to 6 weeks you should get the CRO number...if not, some registrars would keep the domain name for you ( after sending them the proof you aplied for that name ) until you get it...

Suggestion - if you don't get it in 6-7 weeks ( the CRO number ) try to visit their office on Parnell Square...nice people there

So what would i need to send them? My reference number? Submission id?
Screen grab of the core.ie site containing the submission?

CRO are supposedly sending out receipts which the IEDR may accept. Some proof that you've actually applied for the RBN would appear to work

I'm just at the registration site now on blacknight though... it seems to want my rbn number (which I dont have yet) should i just go ahead and stick my receipt no in there then?
