| Just surfing and I came across Magento open source e-commerce. The demo looks pretty slick, although I mainly use Zen Cart, I'm getting the feeling their innovation and progress has just stalled and there opposition to work with other open source organisations. Where as 3 years they were pretty much cutting edge now most ZEN sites just look dated. If anyone have experience of Magento please let know, but Ill download anyway and install and give my verdict |

| I have used it. It's awesome but there are some security issues with it. The one page checkout thing is really great for conversions. |

| I just started playing with it on my local machine, and I get the impression its still in infachy stages. Theircurrent release has a bug in it from the weekend which makes it impossible to install so I installed the earlier version. On first impressions it seems to have a user friendly back end and judging byworking sites they really look modern and professional |

| Do you mean in general because it's a new-ish product with frequent updates, or are there any significant ongoing issues? Googling just points to 2 or 3 examples on Magento forums, but said issues have all been resolved. Curious, as I'm using this on a couple of beta sites.
