Our client develops mobile applications that let TV viewers interact in real time with their favourite entertainment shows, such as soap operas, quizzes and talent contests. With a pipeline of projects currently across Poland, Italy, Spain, UK and Ireland an opportunity has now arisen for a Java Software Developer to join their team.

This is the ideal role for a Java developer, looking to further their career with a world leading company, shortlisted for the best new product or service in the 2010 Irish Times Innovation Awards.

As a Java Software Developer you will be responsible for assisting in the creation of J2ME MIDP-2 applications.

Working with an established team, you will be tasked with developing applications for all the major handset types, from Nokia to the latest iPhone and Android devices.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Significant software development experience using Java – A degree (or equivalent) in a subject such as mathematics, science, IT or computer science – Good knowledge of C or C++ and related internet technologies such as XML or CSS

As a Java Software Developer you must be a team play with excellent communication skills. An organised and proactive approach is also key.

Whilst not essential, experience of developing applications for mobile devices would be beneficial to your application.
