Established in 1984, our client is a worldwide leading supplier of high quality, innovative respiratory disposables for anaesthesia and critical care. An opportunity has arisen for an Injection Mould Maker to join their team.

This role would suit a dynamic individual with experience in the design and making of thermoplastic injection moulds looking for their next challenge in a fast-paced and forward thinking company.

As an Injection Mould Maker, you will be responsible for supporting the company’s expanding injection moulding and extrusion manufacturing base.

Your duties will include:

- Developing mould design solutions – Manufacturing jigs and fixtures – Designing and manufacturing moulds – Modifying and maintaining moulds – Recommending changes in mould design

To be considered for the role of Injection Mould Maker, you must have:

- Experience in the design and making of thermoplastic injection moulds – An accredited apprenticeship program or similar relevant qualification – A working knowledge of CAD/CAM programming – Demonstrated ability in mould design

Additionally, you will possess good communication skills and a confident and resilient persona. The ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision is also key.

Although not essential, working knowledge of 3-axis metal and plastics machining, spark erosion, CNC lathing, surface grounding and/or tool room equipment would be a distinct advantage to your application. An understanding of metallurgy and metal surface treatment would also be beneficial, as would an understanding of polymer mould flow.
