Job Description / Web Developer
Our exciting and cutting edge client has an immediate requirement for a web developer to come and join their busy Dublin based team. Their team is due to release an innovative brand new product to the marketplace in the coming weeks and is in need of a web developer to help in their pursuit of success. They’re looking for a committed, enthusiastic and exceptionally talented web developer to build from the bottom up and maintain their high-end bespoke website showcasing their innovative new service. As such, the candidate in accordance with the client’s products, needs, and target market, establish a website that will clearly portray what their all about and have a specific appeal to that market. Candidates must have a proven track record of producing high quality commercial work for the web.
This is initially a three month contract with the view to permanency.
Responsibilities of the role include:
  • assessing the feasibility of new ideas proposed by the design team
*to design and develop the clients website ensuring functionality and optimisation*to design and develop relational database systems and their web interfaces*to monitor web server and site technical performance *responsible for integrating the SQL server database with the company website*proven aptitude for generating creative, attractive corporate design concepts using all elements of graphic design*ability to think strategically and relate design to marketing messages and business needs*test and debug code when necessary to assure proper functioning of web-based applications and websites*cross browser display and technical testing*work closely with the design team to ensure successful implementation*review success of project once implemented and develop learning for future product developments

Requirements:
1- Experience in PHP with good working knowledge of design patterns, MVC and Factory
2- Strong MySQL knowledge with experience optimising queries and tables
3- General understanding of Web Technologies such as – ASP,AJAX and Javascript
4- Object Orientated JavaScript
5- Flash Media Server (Mostly JavaScript)Good knowledge of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX & jQuery
6- Good Knowledge and the ability to work competently with front-end programming teams
7- Significant experience with Expression Studio, CS4 Design Premium or Master Suites (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, Indesign, Fireworks)
8- Exposure to Agile Development Methodologies
9- Experience of a commercial or open source content management system
10 -A third level computing qualification, preferably in web development
