As a leading technology company, our client is the world’s largest semiconductor chip maker. Known for introducing technical innovations that make a global impact, they’re a leading name and iconic brand. An opportunity has now arisen for a Semiconductor Process Engineer to join their team in Dublin.

As a Semiconductor Process Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the following key metrics: safety, quality, yield, availability, cycle time and cost for your toolset.

In this key role, you will own all aspects of sustaining and improving this toolset. This will include PCS performance, the daily tracking of toolset and process health performance and rapidly responding to tool trends by developing robust recovery plans. You will also be tasked with leading troubleshooting activities including escalations and interacting with cross functional departments to prioritise improvement projects.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Extensive experience in the semiconductor industry – Significant experience of working with a high vacuum, deposition based process toolset (such as AMAT Endura/Centura) – At a minimum, an honours or 4-year degree (BSc or BEng) in a science or engineering discipline, such as physics, applied chemistry, chemical engineering, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar

Additionally, as a Semiconductor Process Engineer, you will exercise judgment and discretion and possess a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.

Although not essential, a Masters degree or PhD in a science or engineering discipline (such as physics, applied chemistry, chemical engineering, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering would be an advantage to your application.

The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours as they may be required to work a compressed week. There may also be a strong possibility you will need to undertake a 12-month international assignment overseas as part of the role.
