Our client has been a semiconductor industry leader at the forefront of technology, market and business achievement for more than 25 years. They are breaking new ground in using SharePoint as a collaboration platform and as such, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Applications Engineer / FPGA Technical Support Advisor to join their team.

As a Senior Product Applications Engineer / FPGA Technical Support Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customer to solve design issues by providing appropriate workarounds and solutions to a wide spectrum of technical challenges.

Sharing your technical knowledge with the company’s technical design community, you will create articles as well as interact with developers. You will also be responsible for supporting field engineers by providing support services on strategic design opportunities such as design evaluation and design conversion.

Your other duties will include:

- identifying customer problems and proposing solutions – providing advice on alternative design techniques and the implementation of alternative solutions – providing information and data on a variety of our client’s products – coaching customers on design techniques – generating application notes, reference designs and articles

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- extensive experience in a similar product applications engineer or technical support advisor role, including experience of debugging FPGA related problems – a BSc or MSc in electronics or a related discipline

Fluency in French or German would be a distinct advantage to your application. Experience of FPGA configuration or semi conductors would also be beneficial, as would a working knowledge of Signal.
