As Ireland’s leading IT consulting and outsourced managed services company, our client has over 200 staff in offices based in Dublin, Cork and Belfast. An opportunity has now arisen for a Linux Systems Administrator to join their team.

This position offers a talented Linux/Unix Systems Administrator the opportunity to join a company whose vision is to be the most successful Irish IT consultancy. The successful candidate will benefit from excellent career enhancing prospects.

As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing systems administration. You will also work with customers to enhance current systems and develop projects in order to implement new solutions.

As a solid team player and superb communicator, you will deliver excellence in both project and support work.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- experience in a similar Linux or Unix systems administration role – experience of Microsoft Server 2003 or 2008 administration – a working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Unix servers – a solid understanding of TCP/IP networking – a degree in computer science or another IT-related discipline

Additionally, as a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be dynamic, enthusiastic and enjoy working with customers and internal staff alike. The ability to work well within a cross-team environment is also key.

Although not essential, any of the following would be beneficial to your application: a Linux or Microsoft certification, a VMware certification or experience of using MS SharePoint.
