International Centre for Neurotherapeutics (ICNT)
Post-doctoral post in Biotherapeutics for Chronic Pain
ICNT is a multi-disciplinary, well-funded Centre researching the molecular mechanism(s) of quantal release of transmitters and pain mediators. Particular emphasis is being placed on optimising the effectiveness of new generations of recombinant neurotherapeutics to normalise exocytosis in disease states.
Applications are invited from able, creative, progressive and efficient post-doctoral researchers with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Pain and anti-nociceptives
• Molecular/Cellular Neurobiology
• Expression and purification of recombinant therapeutic proteins for eventual human use
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D in Biological Sciences plus relevant post-doctoral experience, good publication record, excellent communication/supervisory skills and a deep commitment to research in biotherapeutics.
Duration: One year in the first instance; adequate progress with the project would allow opportunity to be considered for a further contract of 2/3 years through open competition
