Job Purpose:
To design, develop and unit-test Windows Desktop based products. To work in a senior role in a world-class development team to produce a high quality, resilient product that will be delivered to millions of Microsoft Windows users’ desktops.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop consumer-focused applications in C++ for Microsoft Windows platform.
Develop architecture and low-end designs based on internal product management requirements.
Communication of designs and other development issues to developers and managers
Design, develop and manage automated unit and acceptance tests.

Peer review of design code and tests.

Participate in Agile development process
Bug Fixing and Documentation

Skills and Abilities Required:
Expert knowledge of native Windows application development
Windows-based UI design experience
Consumer-grade windows software experience
Knowledge of Windows installer technologies
Good grounding in modern network protocols
Ability to fast-track ideas into prototypes
Demonstrable code quality a must
Experience of working in small agile teams
Understanding of Design Patterns
Strong application process flow and problem-solving techniques
High levels of software engineering literacy and communication skills
Friendly and professional manner
Product development and lifecyle experience

Desirable:
Windows MFC abilities
Experience developing a product that has been used by 1000s or more users
Experience of working in an agile (XP) environment.
Product development and lifecyle experience
Knowledge of Web 2.0 software infrastructure
Knowledge of Ant, Junit
XML experience

Qualifications:
Miminum 5 years C++ development
Third Level Qualifications in computing, mathematics or science.
